Mavin Records signed musical artist, Ladipoe, has voiced what in his opinion, could be the solution to situations like the Sars brouhaha in Nigeria.
Speaking in an interview on Y107.9FM’s Myd-Morning Radio Show, he told Rev. Erskine that he strongly believes things can always get better, however, when it comes to African countries, one thing that we do not find easy to do is changing.
Another thing, he said, is allowing people to be in positions based purely on merit. Narrowing this down to Nigeria, he commented that “It’s not something that is widely seen and I feel that my country definitely needs to start to encourage and permit those who have the skills and the competencies to be in positions of power”.
He admitted that it is a tough time for the country but at the same time, “we are Nigerians and we are blessed with the audacity to hope. Hope is something that is engrained in our DNA so I’ll always believe that things will improve”
Ladipoe further added that it is a necessary foundation to start from. Nevertheless, it is a lot of work and thus, will take some time.
