According to reigning champions of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ), Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School, Legon they did not go into the competition to lose.
In an interview on Y 107.9FM’s ‘Myd Morning Radio Show with Rev Erskine, the blue magic boys noted that “We had the winning mentality from the start and we won the competition”.
The winners appreciated the massive support they received from their school and old boys.
The boys basking in glory noted that a ceremony was organised for them as they presented the trophy to the headmaster. “It was a nice period”.
To them, their greatest competition during the entire contest was Adisadel College “although they seemed like underdogs”.
The Presbyterian Boys Secondary School emerged winners of the 2020 National Science and Maths Quiz by beating Adisadel College from the Central Region and Ashanti Region’s Opoku Ware School.
At the end of the final round, PRESEC Legon had 36 points, with Adisadel College coming in second with 31 points. Opoku Ware placed third with 21 points.
Winning the trophy for the sixth (6th) time, PRESEC has made history as the school with the most wins in the competition.

Benjamin Nketsiah, Gakpetor Kekeli and Isaac Gyamfi.
