Prince Harry , the Duke of Sussex has been confirmed as Chief Impact Officer as he joins BetterUp Inc., an up and coming mental health and online coaching company focused on improving “resilience, adaptability and effectiveness”.]
In an interview with BetterUp’s Chief Executive Officer and co-founder, Alexi Robichaux, the Duke of Sussex gave an explanation for accepting the role of a Chief Impact Officer.
” I firmly believe that focusing on and prioritizing our mental fitness unlocks potential and opportunity that we never knew we had”. I intend to help create an impact in people’s lives. Proactive coaching provides endless possibilities for personal development, increased awareness and an all-round better life”.
BetterUp’s CEO failed to reveal specific duties and responsibilities that will be assigned to the prince and how much he’s been compensated. He however stated that ” it’s a meaningful and meaty role”.
It is the Duke’s first formal position at a private company since he stepped down from being a working member of the royal family in 2020.
Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, have also signed multimillion-dollar deals to provide content for Spotify and Netflix.
BetterUp Inc., a San Francisco based firm was founded in 2013, and valued at 1.7 billion doing coaching services to corporate clients including Google and Airbnb. The firm is focused on “changing the world by bringing the power of transformation to each and every person”
