Father and Manager of Afro pop / Afro beat / Afro Gus chino artist and dance twin sisters Patricia Delali Dake (Lali) and Trisha Wolarli Dake (Lola) , Kimatti Dake has encouraged parents to try as much as possible to teach children their local dialect.
According to him, speaking the local dialect helps children feel more comfortable and belong in the community they find themselves in.
“I feel I have failed as a father for not speaking the local dialect with them. Their mother is an Ashanti and I am an Ewe but they don’t know whether that are Ashanti or Ewe,” he said.
The Artist manager and father made this clarion call in an interview with Nyansa Boakwa on Happy FM’s Nsem Pii show during a discussion of their new release “I’M BLESSED”.
Mr. Dake, reiterated that parents must be blamed for children’s confusion on career choices and underperformance in school since they always want them to be like others rather than being themselves.
