Ghana’s no.1 urban radio station YFM kicked off its FC24 Celebrity Clash in grand style at the Legon City Mall.
Hosted by YFM’s Wiston Micheals, the first match featured a virtual showdown between Ghanaian musician and producer Emmanuel Kwamina Amonoo, known by his stage name Quamina MP, and singer-songwriter Joel Ofori Bonsu, popularly known as OliveTheBoy.
Both celebrities brought their A-game to the FC24 virtual arena, battling it out with skill and sportsmanship. Quamina MP opted for Napoli, while OliveTheBoy chose Real Madrid. After a thrilling 90 minutes, Quamina MP emerged victorious with a decisive 3-2 win.
YFM’s Head of the Triangle, Osei Kuffour, expressed his appreciation to the the celebrities and fans for coming out to have fun and connect.
“This contest is an opportunity for celebrities to connect with their fans and to promote the gaming industry. This initiative is a part of YFM activities to set the trial for others”,he added.
YFM’s Program Manager, Eddie Blay, extended an invitation to other celebrities to join the FC24 Celebrity Clash, hinting at future clashes.
“I just love the idea of this whole thing. It’s fun and brilliant to bring out other exciting parts of our celebrities. They’re not always cornered up in their zones. I trust the team will bring in more of our loved and celebrated celebrities to have fun,” he said.
With the initial excitement and the unresolved rivalry between Quamina MP and OliveTheBoy, fans can expect more epic showdowns in the upcoming FC24 Celebrity Clashes.
