The newest dancehall youngster to hit the scene is Bombie Mohammed, known by his stage name Raddi, and we’re loving every minute of this new sound.
Originating from the Northern Region of Ghana, the exceptional talent fell in love with music at the early age of 15. Raddi has been a dancehall musician for about ten years, and even though there isn’t much support out there, he retains the desire and drive to keep making music.
Raddi revealed to Brown Berry, host of Y 107.9 FM’s ‘Ryse N Shyne’ show how he gets extremely motivated and enthusiastic whenever his music is played on the radio. “When they hear my songs, my friends continuously tell me I’m going far and I’ll certainly get there,” he remarked.
Raddi discussed the creative process and production methods used to create everyone’s favorite, Remedy Music. He stated, “Remedy Music is a song that exudes happiness and positive vibes and was created to touch people’s emotions, and I must admit that jam, shakes me to my very core.
It took me about two months to write Remedy Music because I had to come up with the ideal phrases to express the song’s main idea. I had to listen to the song’s lyrics critically and with great attention to detail,” Raddi shared.
When asked how he eased into the industry, he said he initially felt insecure and worried about how his music would be received. However, after receiving numerous encouraging comments from fans across the Caribbean and the USA, he took pride in his performance and made the decision to fully take control of his musical career.
Raddi’s unique sound and the way he draws you in with his silky dancehall flair is so comforting, his demeanor and the way his music speaks to you is truly soul healing. I am happy and honored to witness such greatness.
When asked about any future collaborations, Raddi seeks to work with acts like the Marley Family, Morgan Heritage and Ghana very own Dancehall legend, Stonebwoy
