The quarter finals of YFM’s rap reality talent show, ‘Rapture’ was a super competitive one which saw 2 contestants dropped from the competition.
The 2, Joshua the Greatest and Reloaded GH gained 154 and 152 points respectively and failed to make the cut into the next round of the competition.
After a successful listening session and screening of over 800 entries from across the country, the rapture team selected some artistic rappers for the quarter finals of the talent show.
These eight rappers competed in a one on one battle to prove their salt and at the end of the day, Konfidential dominated the rankings by scoring an outstanding 1,372 points.
Following in the order from 2nd to 6th were Ananse TAC, Kofi Kunta, Gaisieboi, Daud and Scream.
The total score of contestants were a tally of twitter polls (30%), Instagram video engagement (30%) & votes from the Rapture board (40%).
These 6 who made it to the semis will have a tough battle after which only 2 will proceed to the finals, and only one emerging the Lord of Rapture.
Rapture, sourced from the words Rap+Culture and Future seeks to keep the rap culture alive and revive the love Ghanaians have for the genre.
The ultimate winner of Rapture will receive a Ghc50,000 digital distribution deal from Crux Global and a cash prize of Ghc10,000. The winner will also be privileged to work with some of the dopest sound engineers in Ghana.
