After a short break, YFM’s The DrYve is back with its weekly competition for aspiring artists with no access to a recording studio on the 4th of September, 2019. Dubbed “DrYve Your Music”, the feature involves awarding an aspiring artist with a weekly studio session and access to all studio facilities including producers and engineers at no cost; kind courtesy, PMF Recording Studios.
Persons who wish to participate would be required to send a 60-seconds audio freestyle to [email protected] ; videos would not be accepted. Furthermore, the freestyle has to be void of beats. An Accapela freestyle will be preferable, although participants may play the keyboard in the course of their recording. Artists who have not released a song yet are eligible to participate in the Dryve your Music Challenge.
Dryve Your Music airs every Wednesdays between 3pm and 7pm on The Dryve of Your Lyfe and would see 3 freestyles selected weekly for an on-air play and voting by the listeners via the YFM WhatsApp lines 0202222073. Additionally, the host and Disc Jockey of the Dryve, Joel Orleans and DJ Mic Smith will cast their votes as judges accompanied by a representative from PMF Recording studios.
At the end of the month, the weekly winners will compete against each other for a free monthly studio session and a distribution deal with Crux Global.
