Ghanaian actress, Christiana Awuni has described the late Bishop Bernard Nyarko as a national treasure.
According to her, his death has been a loss to not only the Ghanaian film industry but the country as a whole.
“It has really been a painful year on without him. Ghana has truly lost a great asset. His death was and still pains a lot of us and his immense contribution to the movie industry will always be remembered. He helped revive the industry and made it vibrant. His loss is one that affects Ghana, his family and friends”, she stated.
Speaking to Zionfelix in a special May Day edition of Happy 98.9 FM’s Ayekoo After Drive, Christiana remembering Bernard Nyarko a year after his demise stated, “I’ll always remember him for his jovial conversation, the advise he gave to his peers and all his good deeds”.
She reiterated, “his passing still hurts and as he was for all of Ghana, we will always remember him”.
Christiana dispelled all rumours saying she and the late Bernard Nyarko had a rift between them.
“Bishop and I had no problem at all. We were in good terms and even spoke on phone when he was on his sick bed”.
The late Bernard Nyarko died on May 2, 2020 as a result of acute Colon Cancer which he had been battling with over the years.
