African Dancehall King, Shatta Wale goes humble as he apologised to the Ebony Condoms management for missing the Hogbetsotso Festival after he was billed to headline the event.
Shatta was scheduled to play at the Ebony Condoms-sponsored Hogbetsotso Beach Rave festival in Tegbi, in the Volta Region.
According to reports, Shatta, who was listed as the event’s headliner, arrived in the town for the festival but fled after an altercation with an event organiser about an appearance for an interview.
There was some friction between attendees and the event organisers as a result of Shatta not showing up at the event site.
Shatta wale turned to social media to defend himself from claims that he broke his contract by skipping the performance.
A few weeks later, he visited the Ebony Condoms offices to offer an official apology led by renowned media personality, Bola Ray.
Ghanaian Blogger, @RonnieIsEverywhere captured their visit with images and videos. “It’s unfortunate what happened, but you are the CEO I will let the man (Shatta Wale) himself speak,” Bola said in one of the videos circulating on social media.
Following his remarks, Bola turned to Shatta Wale, who instantly knelt down to profusely apologise for his actions.
However, before he could do so, Joseph Addo-Yobo, the Executive Director of the Total Family Health Organization and the owner of the Ebony Condoms brand, grabbed the musician and escorted him to his seat.
The officials there were shocked by Shatta Wale’s (Shatta Wale’s) behaviour.
