Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Adina, has narrated tales of resilience about how her mother though a single mother brought her up to achieve all her dreams.
Speaking in an interview on Y 97.9 FM with TJ DJ on Y Lounge she said:
‘’The second song on my upcoming album is titled ‘Hy3dzen’ it’s a tribute to my mother, she had to fight to get us where we are today. We had rent issues, school fees etc. but she stood firm to get us where we are. I dedicate this song to anyone going through difficulties, be encouraged.’’
The beautiful songstress did not only appreciate her mom but her entire Fante lineage by naming her debut album ‘Araba’ a popular name among Fantes.
‘’Araba is a tribute to my Fante heritage. Araba is my first album and comes with nine (9) songs and an intro. The album comes out on the 30th of October’’ she hinted.
She also described her song with Stonebwoy as magic.
‘’We linked up and hit the studio, my song with Stonebwoy was not pre-written. We hit the studio and bam that’s what I will call magic’’ she said.
She hinted that a feature with Kofi Kinaata is in the pipeline and mentioned Efya, Celestine Donkor, Cina Soul, Yaayaa, Raquel and Irene Logan as her best female vocalists.
When TJ DJ asked her about how she has successfully stayed out of controversies she said:
‘’I am known for music, so I focus all my energy on the music.’’
Adina ended the interview with a performance of her song with Stonebwoy, ‘Take Care of You’ and an obviously smitten TJ DJ sung along with her.
