Kylian Mbappe is the most valuable transfer in football, according to CIES Observatory’s algorithm for working out the value of each player in the world.
The Swiss research group, who specialise in the statistical analysis of football have an algorithm to work out the value of each player, based on activity in clubs and national teams, club and national team results, age, position, league of employment and economic level of the releasing club.
Based on the most recent findings Mbappe is currently worth €265.2 million, should PSG decide to sell, whilst Raheem Sterling at €223.7 million is the only other player to break the €200 million mark.
The Frenchman, who has already won the World Cup, also plays for PSG who are one of the richest sides in the world and are unlikely to need to sell their forward, making him so much more valuable.
It’s no huge surprise to see Mbappe top of the list. The 21-year-old has already done so much in his limited professional career to date and has all the potential and ability to go on to do even more.
