The Unorthodox Tape – Kobby Major

Over the weekend Takoradi main and only acclaimed Hip-Hop culture group, PsyphaRilla’s Kobby Major, granted a listening session of his new project. The well attended event was held at the conference room of the Melody Hotel. The event lasted two hours and was hosted by Yfm’s own Kwame Legend. The session granted an exclusive listening opportunity to the carefully selected audience of Takoradi’s finest entertainment pundits and critics.
The album cemented why Kobby Major can be considered Takoradi’s Hip-Hop god in the making, on this project he exhibited why he represent the streets of Takoradi and it unrecognized genre.  The ten track album has some really exciting collaboration with the likes of the highlife icon Kofi Bentil, the Street-King Swalaman, Eka, the soothing voices of Debbie Kunnehli & Sekyerewaa.
The event also opened Kobby Major to the public for the first as the audience to response and clarity as to what thoughts went into the project, the motion and the name of the album, cover art and what the future holds.
The listening session was graced with the presence of the Melody FM’s Dj Bibini, Dacoder, Nate, Switbeits, Elormbeats of beatbox who happened to have produced the album and Nana Kwesi Nketsia executive producer of TSC Radio Hour, Derby Gh Promoter, Kwame Offei, Ricky Rick and Nana Lucious all of Empire FM. Others include Dj Ferggy of Radio Premier, Kwadwo Agyei Boakye and Mr Sey of Beach FM, Albert of XzhibitGh, Herbert Acheampong and Yao Mawutor Fiano of Paragon Fm, Prince Kwame Wonder of Bigtimesgh, Stephen Mensah a broadcaster and artiste manager, and of course the PsyphaRilla’s Crew among others.
