Multiple award-winning rapper, Okyeame Kwame, has whet the appetite of those yet to read his maiden book, ‘Love Locked Down’ by sharing one of the many lessons the book contains.
The celebrated musician intimated that one lesson he appreciates from the book is the sound advice on knowing oneself before settling for a partner.
In a conversation with host Brown Berry on the ‘Ryse N Shyne’ show, Okyeame Kwame explained: “All children are born pure but once we are born, our parents transfer their fears unto us and then they mess us up. They tell us what to fear and accept things that come our way and then by the time we are old enough to pick who we want to spend our lives with, we have this whooped idea of what a relationship is. So we find that we have conflicts within that we bring out and share it with our partners and then we expect them to understand that this is who we are because that is the only experience that we’ve had from childhood”.
Okyeame Kwame assured that his maiden book ‘Love Locked Down’ promises nothing but help in understanding how and why one needs to find himself before finding a partner.
“After you have found yourself, if you know that you are conflicted, you need to fix that self before you find a partner and fix that person to assimilate your broken self. It all begins and ends with you so once you find yourself, it is important that your partner knows exactly who you are “, he added.
Okyeame Kwame and his wife Annica Nsiah-Apau, last month, launched a book titled ‘Love Locked Down’. Love locked Down is a comprehensive guidebook about love, romance, relationships and family wellbeing.
Additionally, the couple has developed a website called ‘lovelockeddown.com’ to help solve most relationships and love issues faced by couples.
