Leading Insurance Company, Loyalty Insurance Company has engaged its customers in an educative session on how best to formally request for compensation against a loss or damage over an insured item.
Speaking on Happy 98.9’s ‘Happy Morning Show’, Managing Director of Loyalty Insurance, Ernest Frimpong noted that in times past, processes of claiming insurance seemed stringent as it was a way of deterring people who may want to make fraudulent claims while affecting other people who may have genuine concerns.
He furthered that in modern day, certain measures have been put in place to make processes of insurance claims easier.
“The National Insurance Commission has given guidelines for insurance companies to pay claims. Even some insurance companies, use claim payments as advertisement to attract customers to do insurance and build public trust in insurance. So there is no insurance company that jokes with claims”, he added.
According to Ernest Frimpong, some insurance companies waive documentation to allow making claims easier. However, to benefit from this waiver, the policyholder must also play his or her part.
“I will advise that if you have a motor insurance and you get involved in an accident, the first thing to do is to inform your insurance company. The earlier you call them, the more likely some documentation will be waived”, he admonished.
Commenting on how Loyalty Insurance is making the claims process stress-free, the Managing Director disclosed: “We are one of the insurance companies paying claims fairly and promptly. We have the customer at heart, making sure that people will have a love for insurance so that we can build a better insurance industry.
We are educating our clients on the various things they will need to do when it comes to insurance. We don’t just sell insurance. We also make sure that they benefit from the insurance they purchase.
For example, even though motor insurance is compulsory, we don’t just do it for them. We make them feel good about doing it”.
