30-year-old Jane Fara Fauzzier Afia Boafowaa Yahaya Awindor better known by her stage name Efya shares different opinion Ghanaians who constantly speak against dancehall artiste Ebony concerning her dressing.
The ‘Best In Me’ songstress who bows out of Girl Talk concert on December 27 at the National Theater this year believes Ebony’s recent lifestyle is a youthful exuberance and it is normal so the public should allow her because she will change as she grows. Efya opined in a conversation with Zionfelix that young and energetic musicians like Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng should be allowed to enjoy life at their early stages because most artistes including her, Efya were “little crazy” when growing in Ghana.
She appreciated Ebony’s talent and advised critics of her dressing to focus on the musician’s talent instead of always tarnishing her image. The April 10 born songstress on Celebrity Ride With Zionfelix show further asked Ghanaians to support Ebony so that she can grow to become a legend in the country.
The afro-soul artiste continued that critics should not make the ‘Poison’ hitmaker feel “she is doing something so wrong”. To her, there are many prostitutes on the streets of Ghana who have not been arrested so why waste our breath on a talent who is doing something good for the music industry.
The last Girl Talk concert for Efya comes off on December 27 this year and tickets are fast selling at Gh100 and Gh150 for regular and VIP respectively.
