Former Lynx signee, and 2020 VGMA Group of the year nominees, Dope Nation, have noted they have accepted their colleague Kuami Eugene’s apology over his comment on their exiting the record label but that does not mean they will put up smiley faces.
Kuami Eugene, not long after his then co-signees left the Lynx record label to pursue their own musical dreams openly voiced in an interview that the duo leaving the record is a blessing because now, all profits will be shared between him and Kidi only and not among four people.
Speaking to host, Nana Quasi Wusu, also known as PM on the Dryve of Your Lyfe on Y97.9FM Kumasi, the duo expressed that they have regarded Kuami Eugene’s apology and the fact that he realizes that he did not speak well.
However, they sounded again their one advice to him that, “Coming from a high-class artiste of the year, you should be able to know how to speak to your fans and you should know how to congratulate your brothers when they have completed their contract with a record label”.
According to Dope Nation, there is no needed excuse for making such utterances jovially when it’s among fellow artistes but when on a platform, it is like a mentor speaking to people who see him as someone worth emulating, hence, he did not speak well.
“We’ve taken the apology but we’re only trying to be accommodating. It’s not like because we’ve taken the apology, we’re going to be smiling and all. You can’t predict human beings so you need to be cautious with how you do your things”, they further concluded.
