Winston Micheals is hitting the ground running after successfully hosting the 2021 YRated Awards last year. Recognized as the voice of Shouts On Y & Pop Central on Y107.9FM, Micheals, who is also a familiar face on television, announced his next venture in a sector that many least expected. Exploring the world of Twitter Spaces through the introduction of an innovative, and brilliant game dubbed All Or Nothing (The Game Show), Micheals became inspired by the popular trendsetting television show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire. It is no secret that Twitter Spaces have become one of the leading platforms millions across the globe use for discussions and debates of all kinds, which is why this game show will put a fun twist on the talk-centered hosting platform.
While elaborating on how the idea was conceived, Micheals said: “I was at home watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and got to thinking about how I could implement such an idea into the Ghana sphere because game shows are always great fun, educational, and great to witness, but even greater to participate in.”
He also revealed the mechanics that will launch him into the newly-discovered universe of Twitter Space gaming by revealing: “I thought about bringing the Idea to TV but then I realized how challenging and logically demanding such a production would be if I brought it to TV. That was when I thought: ‘Since we live in a social media world, what social platform is the best to host such a show that will enable it to be carried out?’ And that’s when I had the idea to take it to Twitter Space. I pitched it to my Boss Eddy Blay, and then I pitched it to the COO of Global Media Alliance, Mr Edwin Amankwah, who also loved the idea.”
Similar to most television game shows imaginable, All Or Nothing promises to be a tumultuous, and fun experience for people of all ages to participate in. The game has been designed to benefit even those who lose, or fail to make it to the next level, and features topics that will span across fields general knowledge, sports, film, history, food, beauty, current trends, books, and music.
Supported by Whoopro & Mellow Farms, All Or Nothing is powered by YFM, and will officially commence on the 10th of February at 8pm.
