Noella Wiyaala, the Lioness of Africa recently in an interview with Joy posited that she was forced to take her kind of music to the Europeans because Ghanaians don’t feel her vibes.
Explaining further in the said interview, she stated categorically that when an artiste is not doing what the Ghanaian ‘system’ wants, the artiste gets blacklisted and that has been her fate in the Ghana music industry.
Now, Kojo Antwi has also added his voice to the agonies of Wiyaala in the hands of Ghanaian music consumers. In the rightful thinking of the ace musician in an interview with Atinka FM, he made it clear that indeed Wiyaala is very underrated as far as the music industry is concerned in Ghana.
Kojo Antwi noted that, the young lady is doing more than being recognized, which he somewhat attributed to the language and taste of consumers including media men and women in the country.
Wiyaala, according the “Music Man”, should be more recognized than what she has attained so far, he told Candyman categorically that other countries celebrate the Ghana music award winner even more than her own country.
As a reminder, Wiyaala who sings in her native Sisala and Waale dialects and English, often combining all three languages within her songs recently in the studios of UK’s Sky News shockingly revealed that her indomitable desire to pursue music started from a pito bar, a name for a local pub.
