Ghanaian gospel act, Max Praize has described worship as a love affair.
Speaking on the ‘Dryve of you Lyfe’ show with Nana Qausi-Wusu (PM), he explained that worship is a love affair and needed affection and care from two or more parties to understand and cherish the act.
*I will say worship is a moment where lovers meet, if you don’t love, you can’t worship. You have to cherish what you are worshiping, understand and believe in it,” he said.
He also debunked claims of the current generation of gospel artistes not producing spirit-filled songs. He explained that artistes in the past were directed by God just as the current crop are. He also described the style of music of the 21st century gospel artistes as an upgrade of the primitive gospel artistes.
“They did their part in their era, and we are doing our part. What they did is what God gave them and what we are doing now is what God has given us. The systems get upgraded, the features of an iPhone 6 wouldn’t be same as an iPhone 13. So if someone sings that kind of songs it will make good music, if we do ours also, it will make good music. But I believe we are doing what God has directed us to do because it is the season,” he said.
Max Praize is Ghanaian worshipper and an urban gospel artiste, he is know for soul touching worship songs including ‘Yahweh’ and ‘Osahene’.
