Writer, actress, activist, and presenter of the Y Lounge show, Nana Akosua Hanson, has shared her secrets to excellent radio presenting.
Speaking in an interview with host Eunice Tornyi on the African Women Voices show, she stated that sticking the art of being yourself and learning will help any upcoming radio presenter deliver to his or her audience excellently.
Exemplifying her point with her experience, she noted: “I will say be yourself. There are a lot of people and examples. For me, I watched and listened to people. Most importantly, I tried to find my own style; being myself and that is what it is”.
Akosua made known that right from the onset, the media has been her field. “I am a writer and an activist. So media came my way when I began my National Service”, she added.
She furthered that acquiring more knowledge was important to become an excellent radio presenter.
“Another tip is to learn. I mean the learning never stops because you are a voice and you are the one transmitting the information. It is very important. Your voice can stop a war. Your voice can create happiness”, she stressed.
Akosua Hanson is the host of the Y Lounge aired on YFM, 7pm to 9pm from Mondays to Thursdays. On this show, she discusses social behaviour and social standards of conducts through the prism of music, celebrity and popular culture.
