In the words of H.E the late Kofi Annan, knowledge is power, information is liberating, and education is the premise of progress in every society, family, and to an extent, every media house.
It is in such regard, YFM Accra decided to broaden the horizons of its staff members through extensive and interactive training organized by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC). The workshops were aimed at aligning its participants, both presenters, and producers, with the current media trends and identifying the necessary strategies to stride in the industry.
The course was moderated by media consultant and professional digital marketer, Martin Davies who has over 30 years of experience in African media. The topics discussed ranged from podcasting, social media promotion, brand identity, among others.
A number of YFM presenters including Kojo Manuel, Winston Micheals, Jonny Stone, Dorothy Cornelius, Linzy Joy, and Princess AJ partook in the training, while Raven Kuewor, Ian Otchere, and Ella Okunmwendia were the producers who undertook the course.
