Radio presenting virtuoso, Macall Mensah of YFM Takoradi, popularly known as Axeman, has been nominated in the Western Radio and Television Personality Awards (WRTP) in the category of entertainment program host of the year.
The awards event which is slated for 21st November, 2020 will see Axeman compete with the likes of DJ Thrash of Radio Shama, DJ Antwi of Ogya FM , Air Marshall Kofi Dadson of Twin City FM, among others to emerge winner in this category.
Axeman has been a household name when it comes to hosting great entertainment programs in the Western Region. With great work exerted in his show, ‘Y Entertainment Podium’, Axeman has set his show as the most authoritative entertainment show in the whole of the western region.
Axeman through his show has given the ‘podium’ to artistes and many other creatives, renowned and upcoming, to share their stories with adept listeners of the show.
Macall is no novel in the game of excellence in the media as he has won the Western Music Awards best entertainment review show of the year twice. His distinct style of delivering to his listeners has earned him the title of one of the most listened voice on radio in the Western Region.
Speaking on his award nomination, Axeman stated: “Family, we got our first nominations at the Western Radio and Television Personality Awards 2020. You made this possible. The prestigious Western Radio and Television Personality Awards (WRTP) is an awards event organized by Ex One entertainment to honour excellence in the media industry. The first WRTP award was held at the TTU auditorium on the 14th December 2019.
