Akwasi Agyeman, the CEO of Ghana Tourism Authority mentioned that December would be eventful as he shared that this year promises to significantly boost the country’s economy .
During an interview on Happy 98.9 FM’s socio-political talk show,”Epa Hoa Daben” with host Bismark Brown, Mr. Agyeman mentioned that Ghana Tourism Authority grant endorsement deals and partnership opportunities to event organizers as part of the “Beyond the Return” initiative.
The 180 events endorsed for December this year are diverse, most are musical concerts which range from Westside Carnival in Takoradi and Sekondi, AfroFuture (previously Afrochella) in Accra, Culture 1 Festival in Tamale and Detty Rave in Accra. Little Havana in Aburi is also on the list among a tall list of other exciting events.
December in GH is the country’s biggest celebration that touches on tourism, arts and culture, embracing all positive things cultural, entertainment, adventure, tours, music, movies, nightlife, fashion and gastronomy, among others.
He also seized the opportunity to call on other food vendors and other vendors to be a part of the initiative this year December , to sell our fashion , delicacies to our visitors to make their stay a beautiful one .
The Ghana government has announced to grant visitors visa-on-arrival from 1st December to January 15. This is aimed at facilitate increased tourist arrivals and participation in Ghana’s flagship season of cultural events and festivals.
