American rapper Snoop Dogg has paid tribute to his late mom Beverly Tate, the evangelist and author who passed away on Sunday October 24, at the age of 70.
The hip-hop sensation turned to social media to share to pay tribute with photos of himself and his mother, who was born in McComb, Mississippi, in 1951.
The rapper’s first post, was a picture of himself leaning in for a hug with his mom, with the caption, “Mama thank u for having me.” And the second with the picture of his mom in a pastel pink attire with a flower bouquet with caption; “Thank u god for giving me an angel for a mother”.
Snoop Dogg also posted a video of himself in a darkened room with a single broken heart emoji.
Born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr, Snoop is one of Tate’s four sons. More than just the mother of the Doggfather, Tate published a string of books during her lifetime, including Real Love (2012), and Real Love II: The Story of an Extraordinary Woman (2014).
Beverly Tate was reported hospitalized earlier this year for undisclosed medical reasons.
