Renowned ‘Hypeman’ and businessman Jerry Shaffer has disclosed the events that led him to start producing music aside from his prominent ‘Hypeman’ career.
Jerry who is the official ‘Hypeman’ for alcoholic brand Hennesy in an interview with Jonny Stone on Y 107.9 FM during the ‘Y Campus Express’ show explained how the COVID-19 pandemic and associated protocols forced him to start producing music.
“During the COVID-19 pandemic, I was stuck in London because of the COVID protocols and restrictions. So, I just decided to cheer since a lot wasn’t happening in Nigeria and Africa. I was fortunate to be with some friends who were musicians. I was missing the clubs, the whole loud music and party scenario the I decided to buy studio equipment.”
“I bought them and I decided to ‘vibe’ in my normal environment. I was ‘vibing’ to some of my beats and my normal club songs and my friends encouraged me to record them because they sounded good and I did”, he explained.
Jerry Shaffer, who doubles as an artiste manager added that, he drew inspiration from his signee Bad Boy Timz. He also described him as a talented musician and a jam maker.
“He is so talented and he makes music feel so easy. He can just wake up and he has a jam, anytime he gets on the microphone he has a jam. I get some inspiration from him,” he added.
“That’s a different side of me, that’s the business side of me,” he described his artiste managerial job.
Jerry Shaffer came to Ghana for some events he was billed for and entreated music enthusiasts and his fans to anticipate his upcoming Extended Playlist (EP).
