Ghanaian actress cum musician, Akuapem Poloo, personally know as Rosemond Alade Brown, has just been granted bail by the High Court following her lawyer’s application to appeal the 90-day jail sentence handed to her by the Accra Circuit Court.
Earlier today, the Accra High Court, presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey, granted the convicted actress bail on the sum of GHC80,000 with two sureties to be justified.
She has also been mandated to report to the case investigator every two weeks as well as drop off her passport at the court’s registry all as part of her bail conditions. Justice Ruby Aryeetey noted that the actress can only travel with permission from the court.
Akuapem Poloo, on the 14th of April, was convicted by an Accra Circuit Court for posting naked pictures of herself, and exposing her son as well. She was convicted on her own plea by the court, presided over by Christina Cann after she changed her plea from not guilty to guilty to all three charges leveled against her.
