Director of Webster University, Christa Elise Sanders Bobtoya, has shared a piece of advice for the youth on how to be successful in their preferred field of work.
In an interview with Rev. Erskine, on the Y-Leaderboard Series, she noted that for many other leaders, it is about keeping your eyes on the prize, being dedicated to a cause and working hard.
“Be encouraged, be inspired, be yourself, be focused, be determined, practice humility and practice integrity. All of these things are very important towards being successful and I know that there is nothing that you can’t achieve”, she said.
She added ‘No food for lazy man’ because what that means is we have to work hard, as nothing comes easily in life or on a silver platter, and we need to work hard to get whatever we want.
She emphasized on hard work, dedication and focus because according to her, when these three values are in play, the sky is always the limit.
Again, she urged the youth to get themselves mentors in whatever field they want to be in, network and build connections with successful people in that field,
“Engaged in your studies and also in your civic duty as global citizens. There is a lot you can achieve if you are always present”, She concluded.
