Your world of quality entertainment, eTV Ghana, as part of fulfilling its promise to revamp its screens and keep viewers glued with the best of entertainment content, is yet again bringing to your screens the ‘Hot 20 Countdown’.
The show, which is to be presented by the host of YFM’s Pop Central and Shouts on Y, Winston Micheals, will be live on eTV Ghana every Saturday from 3:30pm to 4:30pm with its maiden edition coming off this Saturday, the 15th of August.
eTV Ghana’s Hot 20 Countdown show will consist of twenty of the world’s most searched for songs and music videos within the week, mostly compiled from Shazam. The songs could be local or international depending on how much the song has been searched for on the Shazam app.
The musical countdown show will have categories like ‘New entrance’ which will consist of songs that have newly entered the top 20, then the ‘Big drop’ for songs that have dropped since the previous week and ‘Stable position’ which will include songs that have maintained their number.
There will also be the ‘Rising pack’ category for songs that have gained more searches and moved up on the list as well as the ‘Comfortable lead’ category for songs that keep shuffling between the top 5 and have not dropped further. Finally, the ‘Numero Uno’ for the one most searched and played song for the week.
Top 20 Countdown is one of the many programmes aside the newly introduced ‘Gong gong beater’, ‘Shopping on E’ and ‘Can You Karaoke?’ which have been infused to give the station a more appealing outlook and improve viewer pleasure and satisfaction.
Mrs Nosisa Doe is the Programmes Manager for eTV Ghana and in much excitement and anticipation for the new programme, this is what she had saying,

Mrs Doe entreated viewers to tune in to eTV Ghana every Saturday from 3:30 to 4:30pm for a whole hour of musical goodness with the only ‘Abrantie the Gentleman’ Winston Micheals, as well as stay tuned on the station for all the wonderful programmes which are being rolled out from now till the end of the year.
