Multichoice Ghana MD explains why we should embrace and learn from our mistakes

The Managing Director of MultiChoice Ghana, Mr. Cecil Sunkwa-Mills has shared that making mistakes in life often guides us to make the right decisions in life.
According to him, it is perfectly fine to make mistakes twice or thrice in order to get to the right place.
Speaking to YFM’s Akosua Hanson on the Y Leaderboard Series, he stated: “It is okay to make mistakes twice or thrice because it sometimes guides you to the right place. But don’t repeat the same mistake. It can be a different mistake as you progress. I have worked with so many people and they are in so many places”.
He noted that making mistakes must go hand in hand with a mindset of growth where people are determined to succeed in life. “We call them mistakes but sometimes they mean you are pushing the wrong door. When you have a fixed mindset, you basically are finished. Some people are from a certain background but they thrive because of the mindset of growth”, he added.
He reiterated his point when he concluded : “Don’t go for a fixed mindset. Always go for a growth mindset. Nothing is cast in stone. Yes, mistakes can only be the key to your next steps. It is never too late to pick up something and go to the next one. If something doesn’t happen now, it can still happen. What is most important is to take your time, look at yourself and look at the most important things that you want to do”.
