Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Abiana, has disclosed why she teamed up with rapper and musician Fameye for her recent song ‘Far Away’.
She stated that she’s not choosy with people she collaborates with but, she decided to choose Fameye because he was very receptive about the proposal and she thought he would be the best fit because of the type of song it was.
Talking to Brown Berry on Y107.9FM’s RyseNShyne show, she said, “We talked about a collaboration when I met him and he was open to it. He was even the one who called me asking when the song can be done and even on the day we were supposed to go to the studio there was light out in his area so, he called me and asked that we postpone to the next day and the next day he called me again”.
She stated that Fameye showed signs of willingness which made everything very easy for them when they went to the studio to record.
“In the studio everything was set, his vibe was so good and everything was great. He was so much into what we were doing so it didn’t feel forced because immediately I brought up the idea, he was on it trying to put things in place so it was just a great vibe and we were syncing so that’s why I decided to go with him.”
Talking about what her plans for her new song is, she noted that her wish is for the song to be in movies hence she’s looking forward to meeting the right people to pitch it to them.
“My future for this song is really big because I want it to go far. I want it to be featured in films and festivals,” she said.
