Bristle Ghana foundation, a non-profit organization has successfully launched its flagship Early Parenthood Control and re-integration programme.
Speaking with LJ on Y 107.9 FM during the most listened-to urban gospel show ‘Lyt it up’, representatives of the foundation explained the Parenthood control programme and its impact on beneficiaries.
”Early Parenthood Control and reintegration programme is a flagship programme of Bristle Ghana Foundation established on 6th January 2021. Our mandate is to help teenage girls find their identity to prevent teenage pregnancy and also reintegrate them through most of our programmes which are in line with education.”
They further explained the processes and methods they carry out to engage the teenagers in communities and schools.
”By way of educating people, we go to schools, organise community durbars, use social media and traditional media, and speak to them about teenage pregnancy and the health effects that they can have when they get pregnant at their teen ages”.
They added that they currently had three girls under their care and aim to reintegrate more into the school and vocational systems with help of the Ghana Education Service and Commission for Technical and Vocation Education.
They finally mentioned that they hoped to partner with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and other organisations that have the affairs of women and children prioritized and further appealed to the public for support and aid to cater for more teenage girls.
