Celebrated Ghanaian celebrity blogger Prince Fiifi Cudjoe, better known as Fiifi Adinkra, has advised Ghanaian artistes to invest in their brands.
The CEO of Ghanandwon.net made these assertions in an interview with Macall Mensah on Y 97.9 FM during the ‘Y Entertainment Podium’ show. He entreated artistes to pay keen attention to their brands if they want to be global figures.
“Some of our artistes should pay much attention to branding, they should understand the kind of business they are into. We all grew up with Entertainment, but you would agree with me we not only doing entertainment for the fun of it, its music business, but we also call it showbiz,” he said.
Fiifi Adinkra who is also identified as ‘Renowned Blogger’ further mentioned artistes from the western part of the country had to understand how the whole music business works and how it functions. He added that artistes needed to take their music seriously and consider it as a business venture.
“If you are creating music and that is a product you are creating and you want to sell it globally then you should understand how it works, how the whole market system is, how the market is structured, how you can promote it, the people you need to employ. I believe there should be some sort of business mentality attached to the music my friends in Taadi are creating and think globally,” he added.
Fiifi Adinkra further advised up and coming bloggers to explore, learn and ask more questions about the job and progress.
