Ghanaian rapper and songwriter M.anifest has revealed that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, 2020 gave him the chance to record more songs than he ever recorded in previous years.
Talking about how the pandemic affected him business wise, he said, “We just had to find ways to do business and everything else differently because there were no shows and we couldn’t travel too”.
Talking to Kojo Manuel on Y 107.9 FM’s Dryve of Your Lyfe Show he said, “There are other creative ways to use your creativity to get to the bag, and such a time as this was an opportunity”.
M.anifest believes artistes should see challenges like these as opportunities and take advantage of them, to record more songs.
“I definitely recorded more last year than I have in previous years. So you should go in beast mode. To every disadvantage there’s a light at the end of the tunnel”, he said.
He added that he also figured that being an artiste should not always be about being on a one way street.
“It shouldn’t just be about studio, shows etc there are other things in between that you can also do. Like doing stuff with companies, find a way to engage the fans a little differently. It shouldn’t always be the same cycle”.
He advised artistes to be creative and step out of their comfort zone to figure out what works best for them.
