Rhoda Naa Yemoley Odoi, Chief Executive Officer of HypeNet Marketing Group, has stated that Ghana has a lot of work prospects, which prompted her decision to leave the United States of America and create her own firm in Ghana.
The digital marketer, after completing a one-year diploma course in digital marketing, revealed that in the US, it takes a lot to impress and that she would be only practicing what so many others are doing and are still developing. “I came back because I realized that in America, it will take a lot to impress; there is nothing you are going to do there that they have not seen.” she indicated in an interview on Y107.9FM’s YLeaderboard series with host Rev. Erskine.
Madam Rhoda believed that there were so many opportunities in Ghana to exhibit what she had studied. Using Google Analytics as an example, she mentioned that it was not really known by many people in Ghana, which presented her with the right opportunity to make an impact with it. “In Ghana, there were more opportunities; I realized that in Ghana, most of the things that I even learned five years ago, I am now doing them; Google Analytics isn’t even big yet in Ghana, so I decided to come to where it hasn’t really developed because that is where the opportunities are,” she expounded.
The professional marketer wishes to build a name for herself in her field, but believes that in America, this would be a difficult objective to reach and would merely serve as a method of generating money, similar to other digital marketers in the US market. “Ghana is where I can make my mark; if I stay in America, it would be more about making money, but making your mark would be very difficult,” she explained.
