Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Belo Cosmetics, Augustina Didi, has advised people who plan to start their own businesses never to register the business with their own name.
Speaking with host, Dorothy Cornelius on the Weekend Rush which airs on Y107.9FM, she noted that it is not a good thing to do if the plan for the business is for it to go far. This came up when she was explaining why she chose to name her business ‘Belo cosmetics’ and not ‘Didi cosmetics’ as everyone would expect.
“That is one mistake that people do with their business. Just like my NGO is called PYDO, I could have named it Didi’s Foundation or something but when you want to start a business that you want to go far, you don’t use your name”, she said.
Detailing on how she came up with the name ‘Belo’, she said, “Belo means beautiful. In Italian, anyone who is pretty or handsome or beautiful, you use Bello for them and of course, you are beautiful and I am beautiful and that is why I say anyone can use Belo Cosmetics”.
Augustina said that the inspiration behind Belo’s Cosmetics is basically to be able to help people as she is doing with her NGO, PYDO. She started the cosmetic business so that she can have something for herself which can support her in her cause to help people as much as she can.
