PaJohn Bentsifi Dadson, a profound Ghanaian arts and tourism practitioner and the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Native Adventures starred in the latest episode of the Y Leaderboard Series hosted on Y107.9 FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show.

The CEO of Native Adventures in an interesting chat with host Rev Erskine revealed the secrets behind the success of the thriving adventure company.
PaJohn Bentsifi Dadson, who comes across as a dynamic entrepreneur, started Native Adventures with a vision to showcase the beauty of Ghana through adventure tourism. He believes the country has more to offer than just a few popular tourist sites. He aims to change the narrative about Ghana’s tourism industry by creating an experience that would appeal to thrill-seekers and adventurers.
Having travelled to several countries in his line of work, he believes that despite the effort to promote tourism, Ghana can equally match some of the world’s high-ranked tourist countries. “I mean I’ve seen what some of these countries do with their sites and I think Ghana can equally do that and better. I mean it’s been done before and we have it all here,” he told Rev Erskine.
PaJohn also noted that Ghana must put more effort into making its landscape and greenery more appealing. He reiterated that Ghana has impeccable landscape areas considered present-day tourist sites which are visited every day, and need proper attention and maintenance.
“You need to sustain it. Certain things like that keep it going; people may come once because they hear all these grand things about Ghana but what you want is the repeat, the constant visit,” he added as he indicated that Ghana can get and maintain the attention of tourists from the Western world and beyond through this strategic effort.”
PaJohn also shared how he had to overcome several challenges in the initial stages of his business. He faced difficulties and other financial constraints that had to be dealt with. However, his passion and determination to make a difference kept him going.
Today, Native Adventures is a force to be reckoned with in the adventure tourism industry. The company offers a wide range of activities, including hiking, camping, kayaking, and rock climbing. They have organized several successful events, including the annual Abokobi Expedition, which has become a popular attraction for adventure enthusiasts.
The Ghanaian creative however shared few cues for the Ghanaian youth as he noted that earning a living with talent is impossible without skill and management.
“You have to organize your talent and manage it. They are two completely different things.”
The multi-talented creative further stated that managing talent is a skill not many people possess thus, the existence of individuals known as talent managers. “Managing the talent also requires some skill and that’s why if you don’t have that skill, you hire someone who has them to manage your talents.
PaJohn’s success story is an inspiration to many young entrepreneurs who want to make a difference in their respective fields. He encourages young people to be bold and take risks, even in the face of adversity. His message to aspiring entrepreneurs is simple, “Believe in yourself, stay focused, and never give up.”
